LinkedIn Banner and Post Image Sizes, Explained

LinkedIn isn't a playlist platform, but the same design tool that composes a cover for a specific pixel shape works just as well for a profile banner or a feed post image, the sizing problem is identical either way.
Profile and company page banner
1584×396px (4:1). This wide strip sits behind your profile photo, which overlaps its bottom-left corner on both desktop and mobile. Keep any text or logo centered or weighted to the right so the profile picture doesn't sit on top of it.
Feed post image
1200×627px (1.91:1) for an image attached to a regular post. LinkedIn's feed crops this differently than the expanded view, so keep the subject and any headline text closer to the center than the edges.
Design tips for a more professional platform
The same legibility rules as any other cover still apply, strong contrast, one focal point, a short headline instead of a paragraph. What changes is the palette: a restrained one or two-color treatment tends to read better here than the saturated, high-energy colors that work for a playlist cover.
Both sizes sit in Bolicover's format picker alongside every other platform, so switching from a square cover to a LinkedIn banner is a click, not a new design from scratch. Non-square formats, this one included, are a Pro feature.
